Just seeking advice if anyone has refurbished dented E9 bumpers?

Can they be straightened to look perfect again including the mounts bent back where they have pushed up through the metal of bumper (see bulge on photo)?

Or should I look for another bumper half and toss this LH side.

Any good panel beater will be able to straighten that out. But do expect to have to re-chrome afterwards. That's really where the real expense is going to come from.

We've seen the lengths some will go to, to repair/restore a rusty POS and with enough money anything can be done. The straight answer is that your bumper certainly can be de-dented, but whether it would be a good idea depends on the skills of your local beater, and the alternative cost for another bumper with less damage.

Doesn't look too bad. If you plan on having it re-chromed, you should talk to chrome shop--that's the answer I've received from pretty much everyone I ask these types of questions. The bumper metal is much thicker than sheet metal, so that can be a challenge for some body shops.
