I am generally very pleased with my california car cover dusttop for indoor storage - loose but fitted for car. Keep in mind that the default is to have the tacky (in my opinion) big California Car Cover logo on the front. I had mine custom monogrammed (1973 e9) but it is all lost with the large California logo. You need to check a box to have no logo.
if anybody decides to pursue a group buy on an indoor cover - i'm interested. i got a quote from autochic in march - $180 in cotton flannel. haven't got around to ordering one yet.
I purchased a fantastic car cover for my coupe through Griots Garage.
This is a custom-fit cover, for internal user only (ie not for outside/rain) and it fits beautifully
I have the deep chin Alpina spoiler on my coupe and the short-chin Euro-style front and rear bumpers... if you have the US-bulky bumpers this may need to be considered
I purchased my cover from Griots around 3years ago and I paid a little more for the embroidery, but it was around $450 including shipping from CA to MA. No it isnt cheap but the quality is worth it and I am very happy with it.
On the Griots website (www.griotsgarage.com) if you select Car Covers, then "Form Fit" it will allow you to select the Year, Make, Model and it includes the 3.0CS .
Here's the description of the Form-Fit straight off their website.
"This cover is designed for those special cars who reside mostly in the garage. Custom cut and available for only a select few marques. It provides a body-hugging fit and features a super soft inside material to pamper fine paint finishes. A perfect way to enhance your garage and protect your vehicles finish. The outer shell is a woven polyester with a unique Lycra/Spandex® added to the yarn. The results create a stretch/memory cover that keeps its shape and hugs your car like it hugs the road. The inner layer is a 100% cotton terry loop which is sheared to a fleece-like finish. The end result is a 7.4 ounce per square yard material that has a wonderfully soft feel. Breathable so heat or moisture isn't trapped under the cover. Designed for indoor use or limited outdoor use only. It's not water proof. Available in six dynamic colors. A matching storage bag is included."
Are the Covercrafts that bad? I ordered one and have yet to open it as the car is still in the restoration shop. I'll return it and sign up for a group buy .....
