Hi folks, I am a new owner of a 73. Car has some front damage and was sold with no keys. Car is being shipped to me so I need some info.

I had the ignition key made out locally based on the igniton cylinder. Key has little dimples on the sides. Is this correct ?

Will ignition key work with doors and trunk or are door/trunk different keys.

yeah, the ignition key should be the same as for the doors and trunk (and glovebox). however that is if previous owners hadn't changed them.
 
It may be easier to purchase a new lock set and keys...............they're actually not that expensive. You can get a whole new set, completely matched, brand new..............less than $200 if I recall.
 
Since I have the ignition key I guess I'm fine. Thanks for the help
