Okay so last week thursday (3/26) I replaced both the battery and the starter on my 72 Bavaria since both were tested at a local autoparts store and both failed
I installed both new starter and battery and didnt try turning it over

This week I tried turning the car on and it would die after 1 or 3 seconds.

I checked ignition coil (sparks)
checked spark plugs (sparks)
disconnected the hose after the fuel filter and have gas pressure
moving. I tried turning on the car stepping on the gas a little and I do see some gas being sprayed into the carbs

If i try stepping on the gas while trying to turn the car on it dies.

It sounds like the carbs are getting too much air maybe?

Any input would be greatly appreciated because this is driving me crazy.

Before the battery and starter went bad on the car it was running great!!!
last time I drove the car was 3/24

Did you remember to reconnect the black /red wire to the starter?
It goes at the top.

yes because if it wasnt connected it wouldnt start. The car does start it just dies
and if I step on the gas it just dies even quicker.

You may have missed my point.
The black/red wire goes to the top of the starter and then to the coil.
The other wire at the bottom is the cranking wire.

I would check the wiring, as Don, said in case the "cranking wire" is powering the coil.

sounds like what happens when you start a cold engine but the choke isn't engaged. When you step on the gas, it goes even leaner for a moment and that stalls the engine.

Anyway, start with the basics.
See if the carb chokes sets themselves for cold start (flaps part or all closed).

Pull your plugs to check for fouling/flooding.

See if you're getting strong blue spark at the end of a plug wire.

There is a very good chance you have disconnected the green/white wire to the carb solenoids.
On top of the brake booster tube look for the 2 clear/yellow rectangular connectors. That's one green/white wire going in and two going out. You may also have disconnected the ground wire for the relay.
Check for 12 volts at the connector in and out. Check for ground at the relay.
Check for 12 volts at the connectors (All of them!) at the carb. If you don't have 12 volts at the solenoids or carbs your car will die as it is supposed to. There are seven spade connectors coming off that relay- they all need a home!
