This is an e3 center console with seven vent slats. It could be used on an e9 though modifications will need to be done. $165. Located in the Bay Area of Northern California. Feel free to give me a call at (650)483-6(five)67

First post. Location checks out.

Fair price. Fan switch is an added bonus but the length of the threads on the switch is e3 specific and doesn’t fit an e9 console well (too short).

The temp switch has the capillary tube cut so it won’t be any good. Even without the switches, the face is in really good shape, unlike many.

Markos reminded me that an e3 console won't fit an e9, so I guess I can't use it anyway!

My Malaga coupe came with an e3 panel and the fit was very poor, and as it is taller the radio is hidden by the shift platform. Side profile is also different.

This has been interesting. Apparently there is a super wide range in what these consoles are worth. The site administrator, Markos, commented above about the initial $165 price being "fair," which was my goal. I came to the $165 price after asking another knowledgeable person in the E9 community, who wrote saying I should ask $275. I had it sold once to a fellow in Sweden though new EU shipping and duty rules got in the way. Will let you know what happens.

$165 is totally fair. The e9 version in your condition would be $400+. I think the issue is that not a lot of people are actively restoring e3’s.

The value is in the fan switch if it works, early has three wires, 74 and later four wires, threads as mentioned are short and won’t work in an e9 though. Maybe test it with an ohmmeter to see if resistance varies with switch position. And it is uncut which is key.

Thanks Chris. I love hidden value and that the new home for the console could lie in the switch. I will test it when I have a chance and let you know. Ps. as I write this I see you have a Malaga 3.0... great color choice... they look amazing in this color. I occasionally see a great restored Malaga car driving in the bay area.

The Malaga was sold in October, I am currently working on a Chamonix but I also had a Malaga 2002 and love that color.
