I am trying to figure out how critical, or not, the charcoal filter is to run with a conversion over to fuel injection. I was thinking of tapping a nipple into the side of the air cleaner, so that there would be a constant lower pressure draw from the filter. However, I am not sure how consistent the fuel vapor quantity would be while the engine is running. I would think that after the car has sat for a while that the filter would load up with fuel vapors, then when the engine is started the fuel would be drawn out of the filter until the filter held no more. It seems to me that this would confuse the measured side of the fuel injection set up, or more likely, it would be such an insignificant amount as to not be worth considering?
How does the original D-Jet or motronic conversion connect with the filter?
Thanks,
