Cheap "New" eBay Driveshafts???

Hi Don. I have a 4HP22 in an E9 installed by clowns. I *believe* the driveshaft is from a late E24/big motor E28. Part is coming out today for measurement. Front U-joint came apart and made a mess.

I'm seeing $250 new driveshafts on eBay/Amazon with ASIN as spec. Curious.

I still have your CSI intake.

Yikes- I forgot about the intake. I’m at CoupeKing‘s for the weekend- should I drop by tomorrow/sunday?

You're treading into E3 mindset territory here. I have a habit of paying a couple of hundred before eventually paying for the original expensive option.
Having said that, though, my driveshaft place in Monrovia might be more reasonable. I had them do 3 drive shafts on 2 different cars- General Driveshaft Service (626) 357-9560

LOL. Thanks all. The BMW motorcycle guys have a saying; "The cheapest part on a new $31K BMW bike is the owner."
That's not what this is about. I can and have built, spliced, and rebuilt BMW driveshafts with greasable U-joints in my shop. I have been replacing BMW driveline parts for 50 years. I know how much it all costs now that Driveline Pro has bought up all the local driveshaft shops. I get it.

What I'm after here is: Who is selling new $246 E24 Asin spec driveshafts and what are they exactly?

My bit for posterity…

We at the shop never ask for the cheapest part- we want the best part for the money.

One cheap 200.00 part and I lose 400.00 in wasted labor replacing it for free and offering an apology.

AND

We never install unbranded parts.

I have a few 4hp-22 shafts including a couple of Beyer remans but they’re all for the 4 bolt flange at the trans from the EH trans. If you want the 4hp 5/633 shaft that uses the guibo, that’s a hard shaft (lol) to find.
