Cheap Winter Drivers - what do you suggest ?- bit of fun!

Just in case you looking for a cheap winter driver Malc's recommendations are.....

Any Classic Saab 900, not convertible, - £50 and up
Old Audi Quattro 100 200 Early A4, A6 - 300 quid and up
BMW 5 series (e34) four wheel drive - 400 quid and up
Land rover series 3 - 100 quid and up

added......
Mercedes Benz 4-matic estate car - £650 - bit expensive though :wink:

all with at least 3 months tax and test

this is what happens when you troll the uk autotrader/ exchange and mart/ ebay.... oh dear

try an e30 325iX, quite the lil platform!
 
Malc you've got too much spare time on your hands :shock: . Wait a minute why are you trawling Autotrader when you've not finished welding your coupe? Get back in that garage this minute!!!
 
Agree with above - e30 iX is reliable and tossable

And they rust less than an e9 (but doesn't everything)

Heh, I know what you mean. My coupe has been in the body shop since mid-August, and I'm raring to put it back to rights. Of course, I will unfortunately have to make a new set of center console sides since my dad broke those, too... :(
