Interesting... looks nice, but the description seems a bit off: "BMW : 3.3 CSi 1972 Silver 5spd - Similar to BMW CS 3.0"
- the VIN indicates that its a US model CSA, but no mention of a motor or transmission swap.
I wonder if the seller doesn't know this because as long as he/she has had it, the car has had an injected engine, a 5 speed manual and the "extra" reflectors aren't there - all what you could reasonably expect of a CSI. Maybe the added information at the bottom supports this idea, this car is SIMILAR to a 3.0 CS....

On Jul-25-11 at 12:56:45 PDT, seller added the following information:
Similar to BMW 3.0 CS

Otherwise, the photos don't look bad. Looks a lot like my own.

It was in California a year ago when first added to the registry. Seller is not knowledgeable in coupes, it was a U.S. automatic that was apparently converted to injection at some point.

Nice car. That is a later (80-81 e12) L-jet fuel injection with Aux air valve mounted on the valve cover. That's what I have in mine. Interesting, has the Euro thrid "tail"light. Biding is very encouraging.
