This ad appeared on page 25 of this months Sports Car Market magazine. Now at a dealership in Poulsbo, Washington. I applaud them in trying to hold up the (2022) values on nicely restored E9's.

Yes. It was on BaT in June, with "sclauto" listed as the seller. Bid to $101,973 but failed to meet its reserve. Now SCL is asking $18 less and probably wishing they had set the BaT reserve lower.

I applaud them in trying to hold up the (2022) values on nicely restored E9's.

It sold for $146,000 in October, 2022 on BaT. Have e9 prices really declined by that much over four years? I understand that two transactions do not define a market, but the difference between $146K and $84K is significant.

If I were in the market for a car I would seriously think about this one - saying for those who haven’t seen it. It’s a beautiful car and as I am spending time renovating/upgrading mine there are times I think “maybe I should have just bought a completely finished one if I could find it!” This would be that one. Upgraded in many ways

could you find a slightly better car - MAYBE? a more original - sure ... but finding a more beautifully + correctly put together car - good luck. its all done, and done extremely well.

Well, not 84,000 on the chassis and not 84,000 on the motor, who knows but it will never sell at that price. Would love to know what the dealer paid for it.

The number I heard was about $125-130

I sold it in Oct 2022 for $146,000, those days have not yet returned although the $139K CSi is promising.
