That part number shows up as the one piece box from `74 and later cars. Is it really the clamshell box and how much is it?

real oem shows it for 2800CS and 3.0 CS so I beleive its the earlier one. I'm waiting on a price from Maximillian. Some other OEM sources might be cheaper

Might want a positive confirmation, it shows 2800 and 3.0 because it was the only one available for many, many years. The orange parts books have different numbers for both versions which adds to the confusion.

BMW Tool Box

Hi Guys, I can supply this part $210 Euros Ex Germany + Freight Please let me know if anyone is interested!! Cheers Warren

OK,
Here are 2 diiferent sources and prices;
Hi Ernest,

The Cs toolbox is blocked by BMW NA so we need to source it directly
from Germany.

Cost will be $400 usd plus $15 shipping to you.

So total $415 for a brand new box.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks,

This is the reply I had just received from W&N Mr. Allbrecht Walloth:

"We expect the newly manuifactured tool box to arrive for quality inspection in our warehouse within the next few days. The price for the box (without tools) is 240.00 EUR. Do you want to add this to your order (if quality is acceptable)?

Best regards,
Albrecht Walloth"

If the toolbox passes W&N's "mustard", then it will be added to an existing parts order from them. Have a bunch of E9 goodies on order from them. :D

Stan,
Do you still have the window tool, I am back from vacation and can finally get around to mail you a check.

BTW, you should bundle your window tool with the newfound toolboxes at W&N.

Who will be the first toolbox buyer to report back?

Well, the toolbox passed W&N's inspection and they stated in an email: "The toolbox looks good". I have ordered one, but unfortunately, it won't be delivered for a while. Believe the toolbox is in stock now, but the W&N Larini SS exhaust that I'm purchasing is currently on a 6 weeks back order. Guess the toolbox, SS exhaust, and a number of other parts will be delivered in one big shipment in about 1 1/2 months. Can't wait!!!

When you get that Larini installed, it would be great if you could post some before and after audio files.

Will do...but it'll be a while though. Probably won't have the SS exhaust installed until the car gets a complete repaint, along with other interior and mechanical work.

Tool Boxes

Hi Guys, Anyone interested in these Toolboxes I can do them at $240 Euros but BMW has just increased the cost price on these by $40 Euros, If there is a group of members in the USA who may be interested the best way to buy parts is in a bulk deal, I am currently
working as an agent and can supply BMW genuine parts direct from Germany at very good prices and the bigger the order the cheaper the freight cost! I work on very small margins
so am sure it will be benificial for all members, and the best option would be 1 order per month. Regards Warren

Stupid question perhaps.

Does this new remanufactured toolkit for the E9 3.0CS also include the foam 'membrane' that it formed to nicely hold the tools, fuses, spark plugs etc? or it is just the clamshell?

If it is the clamshell with the inner piece (whatever that is called) I would be interested.

Thank you

If not, coupe king sells the foam or just make your own.

I inquired the same question to W+N and they say the clamshell package (their stock anyway) includes the foam and the chromed screw.

Warren,
It's great that you are offering this to the E9 group but we can get it from our
BMW dealer for $294 plus tax and no shipping. 240 Euros at todays rate= $294
I checked this just yesterday with my parts guy.

Maybe there will be something else?

Hi Guys, I am happy to price any parts you are interested, if you can get better prices without the worries of overseas shipping that has to be a good thing for all us Coupe owners, or if some of the dealers want to match my prices then everyone wins!! Cheers Warren
