has anyone had to repair the minute hand
mine broke off
i could add a short support underneath if necessary

Taking off the chrome bezel is not for the faint of heart. You will most likely trash the bezel in appearance.
If I were you I would remove the clock and send it to N Hollywood speedo and have it changed to a quartz internals.
They will return it spanking new in appearance.
And it will run with the correct time.

I personally deleted mine and have a O.P and Voltmeter in that space at present. And it looks like factory installed!

Tempting. Mine runs, but runs a little hot and gains 15 minutes a week.

Save yourself a hassle send to No Hollywood and change to quartez. They did mine very happy.
Remember time is money.

Steve, pictures please...

I have a working clock but need to install it.

On a separate note, is it legal in the USA to have a speedo and odo reading in kph/km? This for my bike. As in their cars, BMW bike speedo/odo units had the disintegrating gears. I have replaced the gears in my daily driver bike, but the entire unit on bike #2 is kaput and disassembled for practice. It was left outside, water got in through/around the glass face, and rusted the internals. Not much I can do about that!

TIA, all

NO

Why would anyone care or for that matter who would ever look
im sure if you were ever stopped the officer isnt going to look at
the speedo
just your license and reg.
surely dmv wont look

My speedo is in KM, yes it's legal. Takes a little getting used to.

All my gauges have beeen sent to N. Hollywood Speedo and work perfectly. Clock is right on time.

HB CHRIS is correct. There is a screw to adjust on the rear of the unit.
I have taken out my clock and know that I wouldn't do it just to adjust the clock.

TOO much work. Plus it is still 40+ years old and may need adjusting several times in the future!

If anyone wants to install a OP and volt meter you will need to use a gas/temp gauge. The clock can is too small.
N Hollywood will add new face and can mount the gauges vertically or horizontal(mine). Will come back with clean glass and face plate. Looks new!

I was very pleased with their work, and price was reasonable.
I have heard nothing but praise for their clock repairs also.
