the purple ones are terrible ! but you will not look in the same view with other emblems to compare blue with purple !
about the old ones, it depends how you have the front, rear, and the ones in the wheels
i would say maintain the originals !
but,...check for an equilibrium !
also take into account in which way they are assembled, old versions were with long threaded screw and nuts, (whilist the new ones are only pressure ribs), and so you must dissasemble the interior trim ! that makes it a PIA !

Yea, but I think that even the versions with the thread will mount into the white nylon sockets. That is, if you use the sockets, you don't need to tear out the headliner to install nuts. Or you could put a piece of double-sided tape on the backside. Or "Autmotive Goo". or....
