Hello, and thank you for your comment it is new veneer I renew all the wood with new veneer when I open up all the instrument to clean all the old dust and renew, my wife looked at it and gave me the idea she said it will be nice if you can cut round wood veneer and glue it on the center of instrument instead of black color it wasn't easy I had extra wood veneer and I start to do it I spend 2 days to cut on size and and bring up the same color of dash wood work that I finished earlier but when it is finished I really liked it it is kind of unique I never see anywhere and the extra gauge I have to have it since the engine is M3 E46 engine I create kind of steps one gage on each step it will go right next to the original instrument I think when I sale the car new owner can take it of very easy and install any where he like it without damaging dash, and for color that you see it is raw wood veneer that called "Teak" it is natural color kind of yellow and apply 2 deferent wood stain main color was espresso and mahogany.Looks real nice, very warm, very "wood" classic. Please provide some description of the wood work, veneer or solid, species, type of finish and how applied, and so on
