From everything I have ever read over the past 30 years, BMW does not have any information about production numbers of any color or equipment installations. It appears they have some sort of non-digitized data base showing color info for individual cars, but no practical way to summarize it.
My guess, looking at our Registry. Polaris. Perhaps unduly influenced by my Polaris coupe.
Reminds me of when my daughter bought a 2000 Toyota Solara a couple years ago. Never saw one before. Spotted one almost every day after.
