Started to do a compression test on my engine, but after 5 minutes of trying to get the tester flex hose screwed into the spark plug holes I spat the dummy, The recessed plug pockets really make the M30 a SOB to do this on, are there any tips or tricks? and/or is there an extension piece that can be bought for the tester to make life easier?

My tester has a long rubber hose attached to the end that threads in the plug hole. It was quite easy to on my car with my tester. Remember to hold the throttle wide open.

I've had this issue, I try to line it up at the same angle as the plug would go and feel for the opening and then start twisting. Sometimes I get it right away, other times it takes several minutes of cursing. Is it the right size? I found the extension didn't help the threading.

+1 on keeping the throttle open when cranking.

It's the right size as I got cyl 1 done

Guess I need more patience!

Can't wait for num 6 with the RH drive master cyl's in the way! :)
