The BMW control arm with the ball joint lists for 296.82 on RealOEM (wishbone #31121104387), even with my 20% discount that’s well over $200 apiece. The eBay aftermarket arms are $89.90 each. I contacted the eBay seller and he can only tell me he gets them from OCAP but not the country they are manufactured in. I’m really skeptical about parts from 3rd world countries after I had brake hoses fail after only 3 years on my Audi A6, they ended up being made in Turkey.

So my questions are is there any well known European companies still selling these control arms ?
Anyone know where OCAP parts are made ?
Has anyone used the OCAP arms ?
Do the new arms come complete with the 2 rubber bushings installed ?
Thank you in advance :) ~ John Buchtenkirch

the price at penskeparts.com is 234.94 ... and with only a 10% 'cca discount that's 211.45 ... which is lower than the 20% off at 237.46.

i don't know about the oem makers and 3rd world guys, but i think i remember, on the e30 there were several oem makers, and the one everybody preferred was lemforder.

Italy is where the company is from.

They have a website with more information.

They show the bushings in the arms.

On Ebay, I only saw one side. But admittedly didn't look hard for a pair. Don't have any personal experience.

Well I bit the bullet today and ordered the dealer control arms. They were cheaper than listed on RealOEM.com at a list of $234.94 and $187.95 each after my discount. At least I’ll be able to hit occasional potholes or areas that are washboard roads at speed without worrying that my front suspension is going to rip out . ~ John Buchtenkirch
