Like many of us here, I watch a lot of BAT videos about the vehicles offered up for auction. Many aspects of the process, but one of my favourites is the cold start video. Owners take great pains to confirm the car has not been started recently, and get in and turn the key. This current BAT listing shows a 1953 Chrysler New Yorker Town and Country with a 331ci V8. the start up video is, to me, priceless. Starts, seems to want to die, then gains strength, and idles like the V8s we all remember. Note...it doesn't even shudder or appear to stall, ever!

excellent

i tried to replicate a thread of engine sound videos with special attention to iddle, and cold starts,

unfortunately most people do not have video recorders these days...sad ;-)

We don't need cold-startup videos in S. Florida. The best exhaust sounds to my ears are a 5.0 Mustang. Most of those videos on the Web are them leaving a car show and skidding off the road.....
