On the a/c hoses there are copper washers that are used in each connection. One is 5/8" the other 3/4", I'm sure these are sacrificial and should be replaced whenever the joint is broken, does anyone know of a source other than BMW?

Thanks, Doug

I found mine at Napa but they are discontinued so you may get lucky and have the guy find some lying around at another location and have them shipped in like I did. I think another source I found but had to buy quantity was Grainger.

Not discontinued. I just bought a box of ten from my local NAPA guy, they do have to be special ordered via their paper catalogue.

The #6 is P/N 207040 "washer" $12.90/box of 10

I'm using one for my dryer connection so I'll have a few left over. Let me know if you can't get them

My NAPA flunky couldn't locate it. Even easier, I went online to Autozone.com and bought every size there. Search term: "European flare washer".

You need to go to another NAPA shop, the guy is a moron. Just picked up mine today. I use NAPA for all the hard to find stuff, the Zone and O'Rileys for no brainer stuff like oil and filters
