Although I'm sure many of you are running around with bulbs having brass bases and they are now working--CAUTION--they will create coorosion in the sockets--SO--the only proven choice are the silver based bulbs from Germany--

HTH someone avoid a preventable problem--

Coorosion of the barain--and limited finger dexterity

BLUMAX--the correct spelling is--corrosion--you dumb BoBo!!

I've had good luck with GB OX-GARD. An Anti-oxident you can use on the bases. Used by electricians in corrosive environments. I use it on my boat trailer lights that get submersed too. Probably not as good as the silver bases, but still better than nothing! Available at Home Depot in the Electrical Dept.

Anyone had any experience using LED's? Ive heard you might have to use resistors to trigger the flashers????
