A few years back I got a case of 30 weight penzoil in the old cans. The stuff was sealed probably 30+years old. I used it all up in the coupe. The engine sounded great very quiet valve train. Then when I ran out I had to use the current oil and its not as quiet. What's the best weight/brand available?
Correct oil in 2800cs or any early bmw engine

If it's only quiet you want then use 95wt.

I like Castrol 20/50. I'm planning on switching to BradPenn since it has a high zinc content.
this has been beaten to death in seveal past threads so try searching for "castrol" "valvoline" "20w50" etc.
