There is no accounting for taste.:-D

Those are for the Italian cars, right??

Though the plate for one car shows a D for Deutschland...

No italian had half orange and half white turn signals. Very rare today.

If I remember well, full white was only for a northern Europe market, maybe Sweden?

Those white turn signals are an austrian specialty ! A colleague did a small reproduction, only 10 pairs.

Italian lenses where clear as well, but half of them where painted amber !

Yes. I had scaned the original karmann postcars picture for you, showing these turn signals.

Nope! Ever never clear lenses in Sweden in those days.

Clear lenses for me is something like "pimp my ride around 1990" Similar to the kids on the street "

From my personal view, I think an E9 loses the basic point in the magnificent design with clear lenses or additional position lights.

For example according to Orangener nice pics, the nice "light blue" E9 in front of the red Mercedes, would certainly be more E9 with original lenses!

Just my thoughts.

Easter is coming rapidly with nice weather in northern Europe just now, so we're back on track with our cars again.

Happy Easter folks!
