Stumbled across this one here.

Found the garage owner and asked him about it. Seems it belonged to a guy who had imported it from Japan 5 years ago, originally a "bright green" color but the garage had repainted it to the owners request from a picture. Top part was sienna and I have no idea about the lower half. Not a color I recognize.

Is an LHD which is odd for Japan?

He was real happy to talk to someone who could give him tips about where to find parts.

He knew of three other E9s in the area. One green car in Saudi that he had seen 10 years ago, one beige (Sahara?) in Bahrain and he had heard one of the Sheiks had a race E9.

I got the VIN in case someone wants to log it somewhere.

From a repaint 5 years ago to that? Wow. Is it for sale?

Hej Johan!

You just didn't "stumbled" across this one, or did you? :-)
Tell us more..
Great effort anyway to find this kind of lost E9.

Cheers!
Stefan

Actually I did stumble onto it. Was going to the garage to arrange for a polish of my car here and when I drove into the parking I thought, what the hell, the looks like an e9?!

Nicad - it has apparently been standing around since the reprint. Looked pretty good but I did not start checking in detail. Might be for sale, garage owner did not know. Apparently had a new complete interior made up.
