Anyone ever seen one of these before? I know they weren't a factory car but obviously converted by someone?

I've seen one of those for sale in germany 4 or 5 years ago on ebay. Mpower engine, and e30 roof. Incredible clean job. I wish i had saved some pictures of this car. I dont really like frankenstein cars but this conversion is outstanding.

A colleague from Germany has such a conversion, with the roof and mechanism from an E30 Cabrio.

Who was asking about a ZF 4HP22 autobox swap recently? From the sportmode knob next to the lever, this looks like it must be one way to deal with the tunnel enlargement. Well done, though not my cup of tea -- which goes for the whole cab idea as well...
