Issue 03 took longer than planned. I was faced with a clear decision: publish on time, or take the extra time needed to get it right. In the end, delaying was the right call — and I believe this is the strongest edition of CS COUPE to date. Both print and digital formats are now available via the store: www.bmwE9.com/store

This issue is shaped by a theme that emerged naturally rather than by design: challenge. Not the dramatic, headline-grabbing kind, but the quiet, persistent realities of E9 ownership, restoration, and the people behind these cars.

Inside Issue 03 you’ll find four in-depth features from across the globe, two technical articles to deepen our understanding, and three community stories ranging from new owners to long-term custodians. Alongside that, we welcome a guest writer from Australia and share the latest E9 statistics.

To say thank you for your patience and continued support, a Christmas bonus discount is available: use code 10XMAS2025 (valid until 04/01/26) at checkout for 10% off.

CS COUPE continues to thrive on the stories, cars, and experiences shared by this community. If you have a car, a project, or a story we should be featuring, I’d love to hear from you — no matter how big or small.

As always, feedback on Issue 03 is genuinely welcome.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a healthy, E9-adventure-filled New Year — and thank you for supporting CS COUPE.

Gute Fahrt!

For those of you that haven’t ordered one of these; they are very nicely done. The first pre-issue had some pixelation in some of the photos which has since been corrected and the photography and information provided within is stellar. I also want to call out Nike’s video series “Brunhilda” on YouTube which details his work restoring his E9. The videography is quite well done and I have found it very useful in understanding some of the mechanics of the vehicle - the episode on removing interior trim and refurbishing the rear windows really helped me get through that project.
