CS on the book jacket of a new novel

Oops, sorry I missed that, but other than you and I, I guess no one is interested in the book. Now I'll tell you my story. I have a 72 Fjord Blue CS and it was parked at a local shop for an oil change. I was away on vacation and when I got back, there was a message on my answering machine from a person claiming to be the author of the book, explaining that she wanted to borrow my car to take publicity photos.

After trying to guess who exactly was playing a practical joke on me, I Googled her name and found her website. Anyway, to make a long story, shorter, I called her back, and said that she could borrow the car. I started the beast up and I drove about a mile and heard a splashing noise and then then steam. It was the upper radiator hose. It was a Sunday and my wife drove me to the local Advance Auto Parts, hoping they would have a hose that was somewhat similar. Amazingly, they had three parts in stock for a 72 CS, windshield wipers, a thermostat and the upper hose.

Anyway, I talked to Ms. Brundige for about two hours and she is a BMW fanatic (She has two newer models). She always wanted a coupe. Unfortunately, although the cover flap shows a CS, the book uses a Bavaria, because of the details of the plot. The smaller CS rear seat was edited out, because of the plot details. I got a free autographed copy of the book and my wife has been reading it.

After reading the book I read the credits. Evidently she spoke with oneof the guys at Bavarian Auto in Portsmouth NH. Since I live nearby, I went there and gave hime the book.

PS Is your coupe registered at www.e9-driven.com ?
