CS wood on dash top

is this a modification...or did some cars come with this wood on the top/front of the dash...the cars i've seen are black vinyl...it's really pretty.

I think the wood 'lip' is unique to right hand drive cars. Notice the Speedo and Tach are flipped also. I have seen these 'wood lips' before and they only seem to be in British delivered cars.

.....but I'm no expert. Anyone?

Looks Like a Modification

I doubt this came from the factory. It looks like someone covered several "non-factory" surfaces with wood as part of a restoration. Look at the wood-covered AC faceplate.

Definitely from the factory, all RHD cars had the wood upper grab rail. Not available on any LHD cars AFAIK.
