Just FYI. I saw and drove this car last week. It has heavy undercoating, and has some worrisome areas at the posterior aspect of the right front fender liner. The engine compartment has some kind of black undercoating/thick paint at the tops of the shock towers. The driver's floor area is rusted, but the other floor areas look OK from my peeks under the carpet.
The paint is a Maaco job that looks terrible in real life, worse than in pictures.
On the plus side, it starts, runs, steers, and stops OK. Doors open and shut well. Cold AC, too.
The seller is a nice guy, but the car got bid up to 15K the last time on ebay, and he did not take it. I'd say 10-12K max. It is by no means a rust free car, or even close.

wow and he turned down 15 grand?

The faint mid body horizontal peak or highlight lines are horrible on that car. The front bumper is too high on the passenger side or possibly too low on the driver’s side. The front driver’s side corner of the hood is too high. Possibly the last 2 problems could be adjusted to a presentable condition but fixing the highlight lines could easily cost thousands, strip the paint off that car and you’re very likely to have a scary mess underneath. I agree, with a cloth gut, no sunroof and undercoat covered front strut towers he should have taken the 15K and changed his address & phone number :lol::lol:. ~ John Buchtenkirch

Yes --- well bidding on expensive or distant stuff on eBay can be very scary at times, you have to rely on the seller’s description and some photos which aren’t always the best. This seller is obviously very optimistic or just one of those people that can’t tell the difference between a nice clean car and a total junk, those types are out there too. My dentist is the nicest guy and just loves cars too but he falls in love with and buys the absolute worst cars, I just can’t understand it . ~ John Buchtenkirch
