At Classic Motors DC and already in the registry.

http://www.classicmotorsdc.com/ - the dealership formerly went by another name and just recently relocated.

From what i could get from the salesman, it belongs to the owner and is 'not officially for sale'. But he (the owner) is willing to let it go to the right buyer. I asked about price and he was kind of wishy-washy, quoting a loose $40k - $50k... but would need to confirm that. Said it could go for less (high 30s) depending on... yeah.

Walked around it. paint is bubbling in a few spots and rust is apparent in some of the creases and corners of the engine bay. Shows well, great wheels, solid interior... would just be concerned by that which cannot be seen...

the car was kind of shoe horned in so couldnt get a good look at the underside. And being that it technically wasn't for sale, i didnt wanna go poking and prodding...

They also have a 2800 that they are prepping for sale. That one is said to list at around 14k.

1st word = 'seepage'

2nd word = 'rust'

1+2 = rust seepage.....

Time to see the 2800cs

As Don likes to point out, when strut/fender tops are that smooth or undercoated, walk away. Why is there black welting on the fender seams too?

yup. it looked like at some point someone had gone through a good bit of trouble to mask a few issues rather than fix them properly. Probably more like a $16k car if the fenders are as bad as the band-aid job indicate they might be. i did manage to feel around the tops of the rear shock towers and couldn't feel any evidence of prior failure / repair.

motor was advertised as 'strong'...

Great pics, astute comments. Another "Buttered Up" coupe.
That's a $15k haircut.
