csi injectors

Can anyone assist with a source of new injectors for a csi?. The Bosch number stamped on them is 0280150043 and the BMW part is 13 64 1 352 719 I am interested in either these or an alternative injector.

Also, any BMW dealer will sell them to you for $223.20 each or with a 20% discount off that price at some online suppliers.

are you sure you need new injectors? have you tried having the originals cleaned and reconditioned? there are several places that do this, and they test them as well. cost is quite reasonable

I have sent others out (L Jet) and just sent a set (Motronic) to RC Engineering http://www.rceng.com/index.aspx - about $25 each and shipping cleaned and balanced flow. Very pleased with the results and a 2-3 day turn around. Lots of other shops to choose from. Unless they have a lot of miles or have been abused, check around for other shops in the area and don't throw money at BMW/Bosch.

Injectors

Here is a handy link to save in your bookmarks. Compare the 036 specs to the made of gold 043. 1/4 the price and same same. Beware if you buy aftermarket as there seems to be two types, disc and pintle styles. Disc style will work on an L-jet manifold but not D-jet. You want the pintle style for the D-jet.

I would add that WitchHunderPerformance also will recondition, adjust, replace bits, and flow test injectors, then send you a plot of injector performance (before and after IIRC).

But you're on the other side of the world, so a local solution is more appropriate. Suggest inquiry with local shops that do diesel work, they should have contacts to clean/check/adjust your injectors.
