CSL air vents ????

3.0CSL RHD – City Pack
Can anyone shed some light about my air vents?
In my quest to start getting all the right things before I start restoration….
The car has aluminium ones at the moment, and all the ones I have seen in the fjord Blue on RHD cars have black ones.
I am wondering if they have been striped years ago and was original back – or should they be aluminium from the factory….
As you can see I have no idea

Holiday season - fewer coupes on the road - another grilles thread.

Marc: as I have read there seems to be little consensus. The "chrome" grilles were generally supposed to be supplied with darker paint colors, the black grilles with the lighter colors.

The "chrome" is supposedly vacuum deposited (?) on a plastic substrate and it's very difficult to get someone to restore it. Chrome grilles are a premium item.

Anyway, the search function should turn up quite a bit concerning this.

Your CSL is very nice looking. Always liked the air dams. Hope the tow strap doesn't bust it up.
