Hi I have a 72 csl which I am in the process of re doing the fuel injectors. Having problems with the injection housings leaking. They check out fine when flow tested but when put in the car start to leak. Been through a heap of second hand injectors and been through the process of pulling them out and putting them back together 4 times now.
Ready to accept defeat and buy 6 new ones.

Does anyone know of a place selling them cheaper then Walloth Nesch who are doing them for 95 euro each?

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Contact Robert at Fuel Injection Corp. They can set you up with rebuilt injectors. Your car should have 043 injectors in it. You can also substitute 036 injectors with pintle caps. They have the same flow rate and impedance. There shop is one of the few shops left that can work on the d-jet components. They can test, calibrate or rebuild your MPS sensor and ECU for the d-jet. Give them a call. http://www.fuelinjectioncorp.com

Hi Cal csl and welcome!

Have you checked with your local BMW dealer? They should be able sell new injectors without shipping costs etc. When you go with your CSL-VIN to the dealer, they will not find any match in the computer. Therefore, when checking for the BMW part number for CSL-injectors, you could use any VIN from the CSi:

I suppose you have an early LHD CSL with VIN 2275xxx (great if you could provide the complete VIN).

Cheers

Hi Cal,

Are you sure they are leaking from the housing? Given that they don't leak during the bench test, there is a very good chance that they are leaking at the fuel line connection. What type of hose clamps are you using at the fuel line-to-injector point? Almost all hose clamps, especially worm type clamps, are prone to leakage. See the thread below for more. If you think this might be the case, let me know as I just went through this myself and found a solution that didn't involve buying new injectors.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome and the fast response.

Thanks for the link to the fuel injection guys. Sure they will come in handy if i need to get the MPS sensor done, as i dont know of someone in autralia that does it. Will get a price off them to have the injectors done as well. At the moment only one injector is leaking (number four of course as its the hardest to get to)
It looks like it is leaking from the housing but there are hose clamps on the injectors so i will do some further investgating to find out exactly where it is coming from.

will keep you posted
