CSL pricing question

I found an ad for a 1974 3.2L CSL with 73,000km on it.

It is supposedly in original untouched condition and looks very nice in the pics. And the 3.2L is quite rare is it not?

So my question is what a car like that might be worth? They are asking some 120k US. Could be of interest for me to buy as an investment if the price is OK.

I know there is not that much info to go on but....

Johan

CSL pricing

A member of this forum purchased a very nice Ceylon CSL, originally from Sweden, at auction in London for around 80k usd. It had a BAT kit, but was not a BAT. That would seem to me to be a good comp, perhaps?

Hej!

If the relative low mileage could be confirmed (service book, CT/TüV etc) and the overall condition is OK, it sounds like a pretty reasonable price. Also check if the alu parts are still there etc. This CSL was produced in January 1974, belongs to the batch of Polaris Bats and lived before in France. The asking price was once 125k CHF.

I hope it helps

Cheers

CSL pricing

Hi Johan, if the CSL is a 4355xxx then it is surely worth the USD120 especially if its unrestored. The last built BAT was sold in Germany 6-8 months ago for Euro 125T and then needed to be restored!!! As you probably know, two CSL's were sold in Dubai last year for over Euro 120T
If its not a 4355xxx then take off 40% (+-).
Would love to hear of more details of the CSL.

Thanks all,

I will go have a look at it and take some pics and will update you all.

Should probably adjust the price as well since I saw the dollar has lost a lot towards the CHF lately. It is about 150k US and 100k EURO.

Will find out about the VIN also.

Regards,

Johan

Johan,

If I remember correctly this is a 2275-bat. VIN should be 2275467 (pls correct me if I'm wrong).

Cheers
