CSL Resto - Looks too good to be true...

"NO local 'Greek' experts, no lowballers."

Ha ha - what does that mean? What is a local Greek expert? Are they saying that a PPI is not allowed?

Right, but if I were selling a car I wouldn't write "no local American experts". I don't understand what the intent is with that comment. Maybe it is lost in translation?

I think he doesn’t want people stopping by the shop to state that the car is rusty.

it's not a CSL... but it does need new wings, at least he got that right

I know that I typically can’t shut up but do you guys get charged by the keystroke by your ISP? Please elaborate!

What clue don’t I know? Is it the hood latches? Carpet padding? Sound deadening in the rear fenders? White headliner?

Ditto. I don't see a VIN stated. What evidence is apparent in the images? Just curious and want to learn what to look for.

Who normal, sell CSL with "papers" - without doors, hood & trunk lid? And at the same time is writing that this parts can sell separately?
How much this parts are worth in total 10k EUR?
But complete body is worth much more.
As for me "NO local 'Greek' experts, no lowballers." is unambiguous that it not CSL. They don't want to talk with people who know anything about e9, they want just rookies & car idiot's.

dunno - odd one. it does look to have a petri wheel. he states he has a set of CSL body panel (which would be a pretty rare thing to have hanging around without the rest of the car). Might just be someone who has stumbled upon it (done a cursory google to see they are worth a bit) and thinks he will get the most by splitting it up. Doubt it, but it is possible. More likely given that he has zero feedback and wont take paypal (bank draught or postal orders only) is that he is a fraudster and doesnt even have the rotten heap in his possession. I sell quite a lot of vintage hifi gear on ebay - years ago I was browsing through and found a guy 'selling' 6 items worth around $10,000 for around $3000 - that I had already sold to people all over the world months earlier. He was even using my photos! "Too good to be true" - often catches people - they want to believe..

Can't be sure but looks like it's got a sunroof too. I guess that would be impossible in a CSL.

That is not Petri - Petri have three holes on ich of the spoke & small diameter hub center mount, that wheel on photo's have two holes on ich of the spokes & have large diameter hub center mount. It look more like proper Alpina B2S Momo wheel, that was originally mounted in carburated CSL's but Alpina wheel hub center mount diameter also wasn't so large & shape of spokes near hub mount was little bit different.
Not writing clearly aluminium only "allu, imiu" for me mean that they don't have this parts.

CSI M̶i̶a̶m̶i̶ CSL...

The list is long but the color alone is a dead give away- there were only 4 colors available for the original lightweights and silver wasn't one of them. This looks to be originally silver, has a sunroof, has original factory sound deadening, has no hood posts, white headliner, and rusting headlight covers (would be aluminum).

After looking at it again, it probably can be categorized as an Early "Lightweight" E9 without too much argument.

This is the same guy with the vin number and title and aluminum parts, right? Looks like he bought a basket case and is trying to pawn off a bastard project car.

0 Feedback... "5*classics"

Not hating, get it how you live. But it's just funny to see it being offered.

A simple photo of the Vin chassis number near the fire wall would have been smart to include and would have helped his auction performance significantly. (If it is indeed an early CSL)

Anytime an ad for a car has low resolution and/or poorly lit photographs, accompanied by vague, confusing or obscure text, the buyer is gambling on what is likely less than they expected. Whether it is more rough than expected, less complete than presented, or just plain not what is being listed (likely true of this "CSL"), expectations will probably be dashed. Ask me how I know...

it have not inside black sky roof/heaven
also not alu headlight cover left side, that is very rusty
