csl running well

Just back from a drive with the yellow csl and its going great, such a revelation. I retarded the timing a bit as she was pinking fairly badly.

Under heavy braking the fan just touches the radiator even though the engine and gearbox mounts are all new. WIll have to try and move the radiator forward slightly.

As well as that the fuse for the instrument lights keeps blowing.

Good to be able to enjoy her again.

that we've heard of other fan touching other cars before...

It's not simple to move the radiator. But there supposedly is some play in the engine and trans mounts that will permit you to slightly reposition the engine/trans rearward just a touch.

Go out and give it a good thrashing!
So do you think it was crud in the fuel tank after all?

As to the engine moving about agreed with Honolulu you can haul back on the gearbox and engine, but you will need to check the centre support bearing preload position again
In addition check all the mounts for premature failure, it does happen, suggest you lift up on the engine, without taking it out, to accomplish this.
