Does anyone have the correct distance above the belt line trim for the stripes? Does it stay the same over the length of the car?

If the stripe kit was manufactured correctly, you should be able to just set the pre-cut strips over the belt line molding and use that as your line all the way down the car. The photo above in the right corner will show you how high it is supposed to be above the line. You will also need a thick bondo spreader to go over the top of the kit and squeeze the air bubbles out before you peel off the top strip. The stripe will still have a few bubbles, but leave it out in the sun and a lot of them will disappear. Get a needle and your spreader, pop the bubbles and work the air up past the top or bottom of the stripes. It isn't fun, but the end result is great.

I put mine center between mirror n belt trim,, RIGHT-ON decal appli spray, apply to car and decal and set were you want it. Squeegee it center out, and its done, no air bubbles

12.5mm

Being a wimp, I used a professional striper to do mine recently. His view was that 12.5mm is an "industry standard" gap and so he used 12.5mm spacing tape. Which is pretty much half an inch. Looks right compared to all the photo evidence I can gather and agrees with previous post since partway between trim and mirror.

Also, make sure you continue to wrap the ends into the inner-door rather than cut them flush (that's why theyre a little longer).

Mine are approximately 1/4 inch above the beltline on each end and taper ever so slightly to 3/8 of an inch at midpoint on the doors. The PO is a perfectionist {:>), so I believe them to be correct. RB
