Did BMW back in the day use SAE NET or GROSS?
I know American cars back in the day, used GROSS ratings up until 1971.
E.g. a 318 Chrysler gave out 230HP Gross. Then in 1971, the rating as SAE NET of I think 150HP.
Curious if what my 2800 rating of 170HP is.
