Custom Rotisserie?

There's a '73 Bavaria for sale on eBay.. and when I was looking through the photos, I noticed a very interesting rotisserie.

Curious if anyone can identify it? It appears to attach to the wheel spindles, and works with an engine hoist. If one could attach heavy duty casters.. this might be fairly useful for those of us with small SoCal garages.
