You want an 850 cs starter

Who do you want me to give the business to? I'll let 'em know you said to.
An "850 cs" starter is what they'll call it? Wherever you send me? How about the gaskets for the intake; six down low, square thin copper-like one above?

I think Sfdon recommended Rock-Auto's for a reason. I'm trusting he knows they're remanned more thoroughly from their vendor than Autohausz's.
Something, or he wouldn't have switched from the list of gaskets at Autohausz to Rock-Auto, right?
Maybe he had Autohausz's starters fail one too many times -- and since it's such a pain to get to a starter, I don't blame him.

If you go back and reread the thread you will see you missed this: "you want an 850 cs starter"

Not a 1972 3.0 starter. You are quoting the price on a different starter than I suggested. The sr444x starter is a top of the line v12 starter. The sr71x is junk. In fact, never a 1972 sr71x starter because they are huge crappy difficult to remove boat anchors.

You can't compare a v12 5.0 liter 2.2 kW starter that lists for almost 500.00 with a 6 cylinder 2.5 liter starter designed 50 years ago that lists for 170.00 that puts out 1.1 kw

Simply put- rockautos sr444x is cheaper than Autohausaz.
