I'm rebuilding the fuel injection wiring harness (purist, haven't worked myself up to the upgrade yet!) and trying to locate a source for the large connector hood and sleeve where harness goes into frame.

I've sourced the internal connectors and pins (Molex), but can't seem to find the weatherproof external bits. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I've been thinking about this very thing too. In general, where can we get a reproduction of the original FI harness, including the correct color coding? Mine is looking a little worse for wear and may be part of the problem of an intermittent miss.

I've seen several totally tricked out/resotred cars with the OEM D-Jet refurbished, where do these guys get them?

I've been hunting for a while and have been able to source parts in two ways:
1) used parts (connectors, boots, etc.)
2) new parts (BMW Mobile Traditions, Bosch, auto parts chains, and electronics supplies like Digi-Key)

With those parts, I have built my own new harnesses. Consistent fueling really improves engine operation (compared to what I had before), mostly due to elimination of marginal connections.

That large boot is the one piece I haven't found a new source for. There is no identifier on mine, so I suspect it is not a BMW part.

Same as what I've found. I'm leary of used parts because they are as old as the ones I have. And yes, the big boot and connector are a problem
