Yes, one end is reverse threaded, untighten the lock-nuts, spin the bar to tension.

Nice, must have been updated. The one I bought from Daddywad annoyingly has two standard threads..

Hmm, I was sure one end was reverse threaded, but now I had to run out and double check, and it isn't!
I have another brace (for another car) and that one is reverse threaded. My bad!
