Dash speaker mesh

The tan mesh behind my dash speaker grill is looking rather moth eaten. What has anyone used to replace it?

I had to fabricate a new grill when re-veneered the wood and found some similar mesh material at a fabris store.
Spraypainted it light brown, then lacquer-coated. It's okay, but the density of the fabric is not correct.

I'd be curious to see others' solutions.....
