These look very nice on Coupes as I have two friends that have them installed. They are 17's so pushing the limit.

I'd think that the bigger issue would be width. My front wheels are 7.5" wide, and they only fit with a 205 tire and rolled fenders. I don't see how 8.5" would work without fender modification.

somebody told me that the BMW understeers and that staggered wheel size with more meat on the rear tires will do nothing but eat up from tires faster.....

several have said with the slender A and C pillars and 40 year old shock towers, wheel greater than 14" with rough roads will beat the car to death. So, I stay with the fat sidewall of the 14s
