Older VW bugs used similar hoses, I'm not sure the size but there are a lot of aftermarket sources including ones made of aluminum (aluminium).

Older Saabs, 900 use them in different sizes, along with corrugated plastic tubes
VW Transporter (T3, T4) van, believe it's called "Eurovan" in the USA have them.
A day rummaging in your local scrap yard will probably yield what you need, along with a lot of stuff you don't :wink:
