Making progress on the b35 but need to know which way the dip stick tube is oriented. In this shot it leans away from block but could also fit rotated 180. The tube is new and there are also two different tubes, hope I have the correct tube!

Chris- mine is angled towards the b35 head. It could fit either way, however, since there is plenty of clearance from the Zeniths as well as the master cylinder. I don't know if the runners from your injection system would change that access, however. I'd post a photo, but your engine stand eye candy would put my dirty block and unpainted Purolator canister to shame!

i went through this before
as far as i know for the thick diameter tube, they were two different length tubes but no more
my engine needed the 250mm long tube, and that was NLA
the one that was available was the 300mm long
so i got it manufactured by a shop, he did me 4 tubes, (250mm) just in case
check that your case is the correct lenght
as to the position, check it with the intake manifolds, and place the tube according to the support that hangs from the mentioned manifolds, front one
this supoort is a triangle shaped plate

Chris,

The b35 stick bends inwards toward the head. With the e9 oil pan, using the b35 tube and stick, the fill mark on the end of the stick is about 1/8" or so off. Although, I may not have driven the tube quite far enough back in.

photo of the b35 before disassembly.
