Hi everyone,
I hope life is going ok and not too stressful at the moment though things are not easy.
I have a 1973 coupe and need a dipped beam switch as the one on the car is stuck on permanently.
Just wondering if anyone may have one or know of one.
Kind thanks,
J

Don't know if the 73 is the same as the 71 version but I replaced my 71 switch with one from a 2002. It was the same switch with a different end to it. Also it was $70 rather than the $400 which the original E9 switch was going for. I had to fettle the wiring but it works well and looks identical.

Is it a csi or cs?
Early or late 73?

Hi footy,
I believe if you can take that switch apart, you will find something obvious that you can repair. These malfunctions happen regularly on 50 year old parts, but many times you can make a fix without replacing the entire unit, plus you know it will fit your car! Good luck. ;)

I drilled out the rivets and re built the one on my 635 There are two, IIRC, contacts and a small ball, like a BB that is spring loaded to catch in the detents. I think we stretched the spring to put more pressure on the ball. Again this was the turn signal and dip switch.I closed it up and on 635 the case is metal so I tapped it for some small screws
