So, do those of you with car covers ever clean the inside of your car covers?

I put the cover on a perfectly clean car, and when I take it off the car is dirty again. I think from putting my cover on a car not completely clean and once in a while putting it on the lawn when pulling it off, the inside of the cover has gotten dirty. Do y'all ever clean these, and if so, how?

I've taken my car covers to the local laundromat and have washed them in one of the big front-load tumbler washers. Then let it air dry after its done.

I've haven't had a problem with rips, shrinkage, etc

+1 I followed the manufacturers instruction to wash my " silver" fitted e9 cover in the largest front load washer alone without any other items with Simple Green as the only cleaning agent in COLD water. Do not attempt to dry it in a dryer, even with low heat, as this tends to damage the elastic. Hang dry with air and patience. I'm pleased with the results, but do follow the manufacturers instructions.

+1, I contacted the manufacturer of my California Car Cover and they gave me the same instructions. I did it and the result was fine.
