Disassembly and reassembly roof moulding

They attach by pressure fit by twisting (gently!) onto the steel raingutter. It doesn't really "snap" into place, but almost. I start at the front end of the car and work my way to the rear to attach. I start at the rear and move forward to detach.

I have not tried re-using a gutter moulding that I have removed, but I'd guess with a little care and a delicate touch, it could be done.
