1973 E9 3.5 L 5 speed restored weakness old Mallory distributor. Several years back I delved into a good replacement for my Mallory. The main issue is the plug wires come off the distributor cap frequently. The Mallory is 30 plus years old so now is my time to rethink and replace. Yes the engine runs quite well and my driving technique is to get well into the 4800+ RPM range and keep in the torque band as much as possible. There are a lot of options for upgrades and many of the members have provided advice in the past. I have all the original parts to make the car original motor and transmission but for now I want to indulge a bit with some better technology.
