I have a problem fitting my jack in my spare wheel well. Everything is out for rust remedy, and i noticed that the pin to hold the jack was missing. luckily they are still available from the dealer, so i bought one.

Now im trying to locate the pin, but i struggle to find the correct place for it. No matter how i position the pin and thus the jack, the jack just doesnt fit comfortably. There is only one position where the jack is snug up against the wheel liner, and as these are very brittle, i was hoping to avoid contact.
The other side of the jack is also in contact with a little metal tab on the rear panel , so no movement there as well.

I' ve seen various pics of other jack locations and i notice that those jacks have a longer lever to lift the car.

Is my jack correct?

Other possible problems:
- interference of the little metal tab. You guys explained some time ago that this tab had a purpose to hold the trunk trim. I just dont see how, as the floor panels sit way above this bracket ( pic included). Can some one post a pic of the metal tab, preferably with some height dimension from bootfloor to top of tab ('A' in pic) and how far it sticks out from the tail panel ('B' in pic)?
Id like to check if that tab is in the right place and shape, as its kind of bend already.

Your jack is fine, it’s the earlier 2800CS style with the small crank. I will try and take some pics for you today.
